Old Closet Door Abstract Painting

I could have easily replaced this old, tiny closet door, but I decided to paint it with color samples we had left over from the house remodeling projects. I chose the colors that were already throughout other areas of the house.

I randomly applied strips of masking tape with zero intention as to how it would look at the end. Sometimes I plan things and sometimes I just let them happen. For this project, I didn’t care much if I loved it because I could always get a new door.

Ultimately, we ended up liking it. It’s in a weird spot of the house, too, so it’s like a little surprise when you walk past. We’ve gotten complements from guests when they see it. I guess it’s a keeper for now.
